GCC Chairman inspects Araku Valley Coffee Cafe construction on Visakhapatnam Beach Road

Visakhapatnam, Sep 29 (UNI) Girijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC) Chairman Kidari Sravan Kumar on Tuesday inspected the ongoing construction of the Araku Valley Coffee Cafe on Beach Road in Visakhapatnam, being developed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.06 crore.
Accompanied by GCC directors, Sravan Kumar reviewed the progress of the works and directed officials to complete the project expeditiously while maintaining quality standards.
He said GCC was taking steps to promote Araku Valley coffee and improve marketing facilities for products made by tribal farmers.
The proposed cafe would offer Araku coffee to tourists and visitors and provide a platform to showcase and sell a range of tribal products marketed by the corporation.
The ground floor of the facility will house the coffee cafe, while a Coffee Experience Centre will be established on the first floor.
The centre will offer visitors an interactive experience of the coffee production process, from cultivation by tribal farmers and harvesting of coffee cherries to processing and preparation of the final beverage.
The initiative is aimed at highlighting the journey of Araku coffee from plantation to cup, while creating greater awareness about tribal farmers and expanding market opportunities for their produce, Sravan Kumar said.
GCC directors Borra Nagaraju, Jeevula Naik, Kannappa Raju and Nibhram, among others, were present during the inspection.
